Big Bad Wolf 2010

An overdue post.

Thanks to my dear friend, Fiena, I managed to go to BBW this year! Last year I went with MrComot and was heavily pregnant that time, it was nearby btw, at Amcorp Mall, but this year, hosted at South City Mall Seri Kembangan, it will be mission impossible for me, because it's quite far and MrComot doesn't want to squeeze in with Zahra along. So I didn't put any hope in joining the crowd but luckily I was on leave that day (Zahra's babysitter wasn't well) and Fiena also on leave! She picked me up and drove us there, yeay!

We went on the first day and it was weekday, but the crowd is there already, not to the brim, but we still had to queue!

Stroller is a no-no when you go to thrifty party like this. Not because to easing me grabbing everything but I don't think it's appropriate to shove your stroller when people are rushing in a sale like this. I feel that it will offend the book lover if I bring stroller in, because I will. And maybe you are not even allowed to bring it in, I didn't see any notice about it by the way.

Quite clear, but till you see the payment line. It's insanely longgg! Fiena helped to queue for us while I go for quick lunch *ehem thanks darling! snif snif* and furthermore because Zahra already restless and wants to be out of the pouch. She was so sleepy actually but refused to sleep because so many people around her, so she's throwing tantrum instead.

I had to let her out for a while and see what she's doing. Climbing the table! She even made friends with the auntie who are sitting on the floor selecting her books.

Overall, the book is very cheap. All the fiction novels go for RM8!! Including the latest edition. And I can see piles of J.Grishams, J.Picoult, S.King, N.Roberts, N.Sparks and so on. I went gaga over them but decided to buy any because I don't I will read that soon. I bought The Gatecrasher by Madeleine Wickham (also known as Sophie Kinsela in Shopaholic series) and guess what, Cocktail For Three is also there at RM8 when I just bought it few months ago for Rm35.90! *cried*.

Also bought few books for Zahra and they are freaking cheap at RM5 each. Hard cover, interactive, colorful - very good quality. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to rumble all the selections because Zahra dah rimas so dia pusing sana sini in the carrier and merengek2. So I just grab a handful that I like - The Poppy Cat series!

There are 4 stories actually but I didn't manage to find the last one titled Goodnight, Poppy Cat. Too bad..because it will be a perfect piece for me to tidurkan Zahra ha ha ha. I think it was there, somewhere under the piles but I couldn't dig any longer, my poor princess was very restless.

It was a very good sale that I wish I can spend more time there digging and finding. I even missed the magazine section (was thinking to grab some craft magz). And how I wish it was nearer so I can go there on the 2nd, or 3rd, or 4th day.. I promised myself that I will go to BBW next year, only that without Zahra Elena! Or maybe she's gonna big enough that time that she also can help me digging the books ;)

Slurrrpeee baby

I'm quite buzy today, hence this short update. I tried to give Zahra Elena water via straw and she manage to drink it! Yeay! Terer la sayang mummy ni haha. I know baby can suck, but I never know they can suck using straw.

Bought the BPA free munchkin bottle. The straw is chewy-soft, suit baby very well and it has valve inside (thanks to Tatty, me learn from u hehe), so the water won't spill when she plays with it. The body is curved in the middle so your baby can hold the bottle by himself. So far she likes it so much and I can use it as a tool to make her sit still in the baby chair. Maybe you can try it as well ;)

I want a popcorn machine!

Just something random.

I was browsing using my phone and found this site :- http://www.epopcorn.com/ and makes me want this so bad!

Yes, I want a popcorn machine!

We no more go to cinema for movies because nobody can babysit Zahra (or is it because we can't leave Zahra? Whatever but I don't want to bring her to cinema as well!) and since connection is super-fantastic *ahem* we end up downloading all the movies. But it never be the same because we end up cuddling and not eating anything. Not that I feel comfortable munching snacks on my bed anyway!

So am thinking it will be nice if I have a popcorn machine at home, so I can pop the corn whenever I like, even for lunch, dinner, brunch, anytime! So casual and stylo! Seee see see what a junkie wishlist ha ha ha.

Nevermind, I still want to buy it if I get bonus next year *pray pray pray* because I heard that there will no bonus for us next year *sobs*. I don't know, it's pretty sad don't you think so? Not getting a bonus and a popcorn machine.

Anywayyyyy...if I manage to buy it, I want to make cheddar cheese and jalapeno pop-corn! Yummy yum!!!

My 10-months Sleeping Beauty

I was on emergency leave last Thursday and Friday because Zahra's babysitter fell sick. It's only me by the way because MrComot had this important meeting and tell you what, it's mentally and physically challenged to take care your own kids!

I seriously pening kepala ok haha. Not that she is being hard or what, it's just all she wants to do is play play play and I wonder where all the energy came from. It's even tougher at feeding time because she will ZAP! tepis my hand and there...all the mushy blended porridge splashed on the floor, and on the toys, and on her cloth *pengsan*. But I made a record by not being angry with her, shouting or yelling or snapping her hand *opss* (I pernah pukul tangan dia sekali before sebab bengang sangat haha). Anyway my mom told me not to get angry easily or raise my voice because she will grow up as a bitter person or another word - DEGIL! KETEGAQ!

So because I don't want her to be a bitter person, I am holding myself very well I guess, whenever she snaps the food, I will just say, "Zahra, no.." with a firm voice and take a small damped towel, wipe all the excess on the floor *sobs sobs *.

Anyway one thing I love being on leave is I can wake up late! Hehehe. We woke up around 10-11am for the whole 5 days, and there was this one day I am so lazy to attend her, so I just BF her whenever she awakes, so she will be back sleeping (I know it's a mean trick, but I think she likes it as well, lazying with mommy on the bed, just make sure you don't forget to change her nappy, kalau tak kesian ok) and we woke up at 12pm!

As for the result, my pwincess is verrrrryyyyy sleeepy today when we had to wake her at 8am. She was so sleepy that she refused to wake up even when I lift her and put her on the ABC mat to change her diapers! That is so abnormal of her.

This is her first time being like this, sleeping on this mat!

Kesian budak kecik tu, can't hold the eyes. But she wakes up the moment I wipe her with the cold wet wipes :P

My baby also turns 10 months last week, so happy 10-months sayang! No other progress, pretty much the same only she baby-talk more this few days and likes to put her hand into the mouth and move it up and down while saying aaaaaaaaaaaa so that the sound come out vibrated. Get it? It's like when we say aaaa in front of a table fan :P

On her food, the menu still the same, I still didn't introduce her with egg yolk, later lah..kemalasan.

What else? Oh ya..her current favourite vocab is mamamamam (but I don't think she's referring it to mommy literally). Previously was dadadadada and the first one is aabooooooo! Hehe. Now that she doesn't want to say another thing than mamamamam, I miss her aboooooo..

Below is Zahra Elena and daddy before we stepped out for work. Daddy is holding himself from squeezing her like lemonade - geram! Haha..how cute!

Totty totty totty daddy!

The 5 days break definitely make me miss my baby more than ever. Masa lunch pun I keep on saying to MrComot, "rindunya kat totty!!". Can't wait for this coming Aidiladha. I already applied for leave on Thursday and Friday, so another long weekend for us!

My Wedding Album is in town!

Believe it or not, we never print any wedding pictures yet, and I got my wedding album last Monday, after 2 years of marriage! Haha.

Actually it's kinda our fault. We never send our photos for printing, nor compiling into albums. We just hired official photographer on our wedding WITHOUT album thinking that we want to make the album ourselves! Yes, we are bunch of AMBITIOUS people, or NUT! Haha.

When Zahra Elena popped-out, we know that it will be dream-won't-come-true, so we decided to leave it to professionals. And still!! It took us almost a year to get it done. Asyik tangguh-tangguh haha.

Coincidentally, one of my colleague is doing photography as his part time job (whiteboxsyndicate) and I find his work is decent enough with my budget. And that's how I decided to hand over this tedious job to him ;)

I request for 2 albums. One for solemnization and one for reception. I use our wedding invitations as the front cover.

Solemnization, printed on cardboard metallic paper.
Photographer was my friends Bee&Yan, FOC as wedding gift. Thank you darlings! :D

Reception, printed on metallic cardboard paper.
Photographer - hired (and I forgot his link already hehe)

Bottom line is, if you THINK you can make your own album, forget it! (unless it is your forte hehe). You won't even have the time to think about it, and edit lah apa lah. So, hire photographer WITH album pleaseee! Or you'll end up like me, after 2 years! And still not making it ourselves in the end, hahaha.
