Raya Craze

Hi everyone! Selamat Hari Raya! Maaf Zahir Batin!

Well, it's not too late right? As we celebrate the Eid for whole Syawal!

As I mentioned before, we spent the holiday in Terengganu. It's going to be our first Raya there and I'm pretty excited. We applied for annual leave on Thursday and Friday but start the journey on Friday, to avoid the jam on the Saturday and it turned out everybody also took the leave and government servant siap dpt cuti lagi hari Jumaat T_T. But the traffic wasn't so bad because we split the journey into 2. We stop in Kuantan for a night and move from there to Besut. So okay la.

Ok, talking about excited, my excitement didn't kick my bone that early and that explain why we still don't have baju raya until Thursday! Jumaat tu dah nak balik kampung ok. So on Khamis tu dah gabra ohh noooooo! Not that I want new clothes sangat, but it would be fun to have matching outfits for all of us :D

So we decided to go to Jalan TAR on Thursday! Knowing MrComot, NO WAY IN HELL he will go to Jalan TAR at this moment. Ok that will be too dramatic but he is that type, he doesn't like crowded place and all the heat, etc. Ughhhh. Btw, we went anyway! We sent the kids to babysitter like usual and off to Jalan TAR around 11AM. And talk about being a fat hen on the comfortable couch, we decided to drive there. DRIVE to Jalan TAR during festive season is insane!

We were thinking..alaaaaa kalau jam pun ok apa, we have each other in the car, ada aircond some more, boleh borak-borak, boleh dengar radio. Ha ha ha comfortable jam my ass. We can't even enter Jalan TAR at all! We did reach there, but all the parking entries are CLOSED by the police traffic. Even SOGO parking also closed. The roadside parking is full and we've been in cycle for almost an hour that we decided, that's it, we are going by LRT!

So tak ke buang masa..we drove from Brickfield all the way to Jalan TAR, only to return back to Brickfield and park at KLSentral and naik LRT from there haha. By the time we reached Jalan TAR, it's almost 1PM *sigh*

On the way to Jalan TAR. The traffic was clear, but no parking!

This is not our first time to take LRT but definitely the first time after..4 years? Oh my..I already forgot how the process, how to buy ticket, etc etc. Talk about kacang lupakan kulit haha. LRT was my official transportation back then, since day one I am in KL :)

We even taken aback with the touch screen ticket machine. Ok, I've used the touch screen before but it wasn't that good and interface so buruk but this one..I was like, oooohhh myy gawddd machine apakah ini? So we resort to counter because we not even sure how to buy it hahaha.

And since when the LRT changed their ticketing system to coins? Noob!

Well, it was pretty interesting experience. We giggle most of the journey and MrComot tak habis2 amazed with the systems hahaha. So finally we reached Jalan TAR safe and sound and tell you what, it is much easier to go there via LRT. It's damn near that you don't even sweat, plus it has this giant tunnel that you can walk through right to Masjid Jamek without burning your skin *True Blood mode*

So yeah, we went to Wisma Yakin, the famous place for Baju Melayu and we did our Baju Nikah there!!! Oh my..I never knew it's called Wisma Yakin. My friend keep on telling me, pegi la WY banyak baju and I was like, where where where..siap cari-cari padahal..duh! They got this array of shops selling baju melayu ready made and tailored (obviously we have to buy the ready made one) for daddy and baby! Also got matching baju kurung for mommy! We stroll one by one, keeping our mind open, undecided with what color theme we will have this year, asalkan ada yg cantik and match for everybody, that it is!

And finally we found one set in BAK, and how ironic, we tailored MrComot's nikah outfit at that BAK ha ha ha. There is one baju melayu in Belgium cotton that is sooo soft and drape nicely on MrComot. We managed to snag baju melayu teluk belanga for Emir which is super cute and beaded pesak gantung for Zahra. All from the same material and design. And guess what....semua orang dapat EXCEPT for mommy! Because they don't have it in my size *sigh*. L is too big for me and S is too snug, and M is sold out!

I was a bit disappointed, I mean, this is unfair! Haha..I want to have matching outfit with Zahra too!

We rushed to BAK Kota Damansara (they have one in KD too) only to find different branch carry different color *sigh*. And their staff is rude too. Menyampah! Tanak pegi yg KD anymore even though dekat. I rather go to Wisma Yakin!

Gigih basuh baju tu malam and I hang it at the backyard. The clothes still a bit damp in the morning and I hang it in the car. It works as curtain for the kids hehehe.

Since we spent the Thursday shopping baju raya, we have to pack during the morning and that's how we ended up packing for 4 hours *sabar je la*.

Pening nak letak baju apa. Semua tak decide betul-betul.

The kids are not ealy person, so we drove them in their pyjama.

We stop in Kuantan, rest for a night and continue the journey the next day. We did the same during for our return to KL. I'll story about the pit stop later.

So Selamat Hari Raya everyone! And this weekend going to be 3-days weekend! Ohhh I love August 2012! Haha..anyway we are going to Kuantan again this weekend because my brother will have aqiqah ceremony for his newborn so I have to turn down all other invitations. Sorry! But thanks for inviting me! :)

Chaotic Parents

We r the way to terengganu now. Both babies are still sleeping, can u believe that? Seronok aircond kut.

Anyway we started packing after subuh and start our move around 10am. We took a freaking 4 hours to pack! Omg..seriously lembap dont know what took us so long.

Itu pun still tertinggal2 benda boleh?

We were doing some mind checking in the car..u bring this or not? U bring that?

Ohh nooooo me forgot bring inhaler...carrier emir...ubat bontot..ubat demam etc etc. Haiyohhh the utmost important thing pun boleh missed.

And the best part it..

MrComot: sayang..susu emir mana?

Me: damn! Me panaskan tadi and terlupa ambil!!!

I warm up the frozen ebm for emir so that we don't have to stop for me to breastfeed him..i can just feed him via the bottle. And i forgot to bring the milk can? It's in the bottle rendam air panas lagiii. Mommy mommy...seriously i'm soooo x cekap menda2 mcm ni.

I guess we need to make checklist before going anyway far. That will make things much easier.

Soo..yeah..we r on the way now..u guys have a good raya n enjoy the holiday. Drive safe!

Yummy Bat on IMAX

This is entry is soooo not reflecting my current mood - holiday! Yeah..everything has slowed down this week because due to Raya. In fact I'll start my leave this Thursday hooorahhhh! Can't wait for long holiday because I am sick of working. Haha...not sick..just tired.

Anyway, we haven't bought our baju raya yet, can you believe it? Baju pakai ada la..but the formal kurung and baju melayu. Not that I want to buy sangat, in fact I don't really care if I don't have new baju, pakai anything pun ok..but this year going to be the first year for us to raya in Terengganu and with 4 of us! So it will be nice if I put sedondon or boria or whatever you call it. But too bad mommy doesn't thinking about it earlier. I should tempah or buy before raya so takde la problem macam sekarang.

Emir already has one baju Melayu in burnt orange, my friend pass it over from her first son. So the mission is to find same color for MrComot. We took annual leave on last Wednesday to settle few things: change money notes, teeth scaling, and the utmost important - BELI BAJU MELAYU.

But guess what? NONE in the list achieved!

Sigh!

First, because we can't find nice baju Melayu for MrComot, or same color with Emir. Then, we watched Batman the Dark Shadow bolehhhh?

So cuci gigi dan tukar duit hilang ke laut ha ha ha.

We decided to watch it on IMAX because MrComot never been there, like seriously? *insert mean laugh here haha* and I've been there..err...once *still nak berlagak*. Well..so yeah, we pretty excited about it, after all, this is considered a date, so it's time to indulge!

Even though I've seen a movie in IMAX, I kinda forgot about it because it was 5 years ago I think? All I remembered that it's ceiling to floor screen cinema.

And when I watch it last week, I was so impressed! The screen is sooooooo sharp and clear! Minus the size, the normal cinema will have grainy video and sometimes siap keluar garis2 putih right? Or is it soo yesterday? I pun tak sure. But in IMAX the video quality best lah! Only that, it is toooo big that my eyes can't cope the whole thing!

So best advice, sit as far as you can! We chose E and it's quite further already..but H or I will be better I think.

Christian Bale looks extra yummylicious too in that screen! LOL.

About the movie, the story line kinda predictable but it's so good! The arrangement, the music, the dialog, the action, I love them all! We plan to download it in 1080p and watch it while snuggling under the soft comfortable.

Finished the movie around 4:20PM, rushed for Zohor and then rushed out to pick up the kids. Tak sempat beli baju or whatever. Hopefully we manage to find it before balik raya.

Anyway, I feel quite sad that Ramadhan is leaving us. Sad and dissapointed with myself..because I didn't grab all the opportunity. Hope God grant me another year for Ramadhan and give me strength to perform better.

Ramadhan 2012

Salam Ramadhan everyone. It's already the 3rd week of fasting month and I haven't update ever since. Life is really taking a toll on me.

How's ur Ramadhan? Mine is pretty normal, just like past years. We still eat at PIL (God bless them!) and sahur at minimal. You know la my husband, makan roti dengan air pun ok. He's not a nasi or heavy food eater.

MrComot is very wonderful and being so kind for preparing all the sahur stuff (even though it's just simple roti with salami, kaya, etc) and only woke me up when everything is ready. Not that I am too lazy or sleepyhead, but everytime it's the time for me to wake up for sahur (around 5AM), Emir will asking for another feeding and I'll breastfeed him and continue sleeping. Thank you so much hubby! I feel bad for this, but oh well..it works for both of us, so ok la.

There are times when we feel like having rice so MrComot will cook the rice during the night, after we reached home and will just fry telur dadar during sahur. If we want fancy sahur, we just bought it..but outside food is kinda sucks, so it's not that satisfying either.

I still feel very tired but magically feels better during Ramadhan. It's weird because we can't eat during the day kan..must be the goodness of this holy month. Anyway I saw my gynea yesterday for medical checkup and she prescribed me neurobion (a multivits for the nerve to treat my fatigues) and iron tablet. We'll see if it helps, forgot to bring home last night so didn't take it yet. I also due for full blood test screening (I do this every year), so maybe next week lah.

Breastfeeding during Ramadhan...on the first week, I prepared myself this yummy concoction = full cream milk + almonds + dates + raisins = blend all together but the lazy bug got me, so I stop doing that anymore and just taking my anmum lacta. Alhamdulillah the milk is enough for Emir, in fact it's a bit more than during not fasting month. Maybe my body is doing well (less fatigue) and I'm eating a balanced diet. I eat lots of fruits compared to last month because my PIL's style breaking the fast is to eat the fruits first..then pray..rest a bit then baru makan nasi.

Ramadhan also meant for a laid-back time for us. We spent every weekend at home having fun with the kids because we find it too hassle to go to the mall. It'll be not exciting to go during afternoon because we can't eat/have lunch there (we interested in food more than shopping) and we are too lazy to join the crowd if we go out during the evening, have to rush for buka puasa, solat maghrib etc. So yeah, home sweet home.

Zahra and Emir enjoy our cuddle-at-home-weekend so much. They have been jumping, running and wrestling together and Zahra even did some rolling! Can you imagine that? I am a scaredy cat to do that, afraid will break my neck. But I know, it only takes courage and confident to roll, so in other word, I'm not confident nor courageous enough. I even stop my silat gayung class (during my form 2) because the tuk guru asking everybody to roll and I don't want to do it, so I just quit. I don't want Zahra to be like me so I just let her roll or do whatever pose she wants to do and just keep reminding her 'be careful Zahra..'.

Another 12 days before we end Ramdhan, hope I manage to do better each day, in term of ibadah. Honestly, I didn't do much for the past weeks and pretty disappointed with myself. But better late than never aight?

We are going to spend raya in Terengganu this year for the first time after 4 years being married! Yeayy! The first year I was heavily pregnant, 2nd year Zahra was sick, then 3rd year, pregnant again..hopefully everything goes well.

Oklah..gotta continue rambling on the next entry. Below is a couple shots of Zahra trying to feed Emir water from the bottle. Emir insists to hold it by himself and Zahra was holding it hard because she wants to 'shove' it into Emir's mouth hehehe.

And that's the  new hairclip I made her, heart shape with heart button. The first time she saw it, she screams excitedly, "Mommmyyyyy! Bentuk wuuuf (love)!"

Emir: Nakkkk
Zahra: Tak bolehhh!

Emir: Yeay I got it!
Zahra: Ye la..bagi chance..
